Surgical intervention

The curettage

The curettage is a surgical procedure. This treatment is sometimes necessary after a surgical tooth extraction.

It’s possible to prevent losing teeth using curettage too: the inflamed gums can be cleaned by curettage.

We differentiate the closed curettage from the opened curettage.

The root resection

Root resection is the extraction of the end of the tooth’s root (root apex).

When a tooth nerve has died, the root skin and its periphery could become inflamed. The affected tooth can be saved by stopping the inflammation, though.

Sculpting-tooth extraction surgery

The teeth or roots can be extracted in some cases only with a surgical procedure.
